Who we are
‘We’ are Beth, a freelance Virtual Assistant at The Happy VA. I know that privacy policies aren’t the most thrilling read but if you could read this one then I would really appreciate it.
I am committed to maintaining your trust and confidence when you visit my website and work with me. In particular, I want you to know that I will NEVER sell, rent or trade your information with other companies, businesses or bloggers for marketing purposes. I just don’t agree with it on principle.
However, if you are still concerned read on to understand why I collect your personal information, how I use it, any conditions under which I may disclose it to others and how I keep it secure.
Feel free to make yourself a cuppa before you cosy up to give this a read.
Types of Data we collect
When you visit thehappyva.co.uk, I use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of your behaviour patterns. I do this to find out thing such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the website. This information is only processed in a way which will not identify you. I do not make, and do not allow Google Analytics to make, any attempt to find out your identity.
As part of the registration process for my email newsletter, I collect personal information. I use that information for a few reasons:
- To tell you about the latest posts on my website.
- To contact you if I need to obtain or provide additional information.
- To confirm that my records are right.
- To check every now and then that you are happy and satisfied.
- I DO NOT rent or trade or sell my email lists with ANYONE.
I use a third party provider, MailChimp, to deliver my newsletter. I gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help monitor and improve my newsletter. If you wish to find out more then please read MailChimp’s privacy notice.
You can unsubscribe from the updates at any time you wish by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of my emails or by simply emailing me.
